Some Happy Solstice Snapshots

What are the chances of seeing a real live bird land on top of a real live cat's head?

Not likely. But how about a real live bird landing on a folk art cat's head? It's almost just as silly.

Here are some more Solstice Delights:
A black-headed grosbeak...

A summer bouquet

Mr. Evening Grosbeak

And Mrs. Evening Grosbeak...

And an extra special treat, direct from the backyard greenhouse...

Yum!
Hope your Solstice was extra special too!

I Need Your Help with Market Research (plus a Special Offer)

What do you think?
I just had some brand new stickers made up to use on my packaging and they turned out so cute, I wanted to share them with you...Each shiny little sticker features a different fanciful feline from my "Birdbrains" collection and is 7/8" square (22mm x 22mm), with a scratchproof vinyl surface.

I'm thinking of offering these for sale in my Etsy shop. What would YOU pay for a sheet of 6 stickers? $3, $2, the change under your seat cushion?? I'd love to hear your feedback in the comments section below!

In the mean time, here's a SPECIAL OFFER for FREE STICKERS for my blog readers and Facebook friends:

This weekend only, NOV. 12, 13, and 14, receive one sheet of stickers (6 stickers) with the purchase of ANY item from my Etsy online shop: http://www.susanfaye.etsy.com/. That's right, buy two items, get two sticker sheets; 4 items; 4 sticker sheets--you get the drift! Just enter the code "Free Stickers" in the "message to seller" box when checking out. If you forget to add the code, don't despair, just send me a message...

Today is The International Day of Peace

It's a long held belief that cats and dogs are natural enemies. And yet, as many pet owners can tell you, it IS possible to be peaceable. In many households across the land, canines and felines have formed countless truces and have even forged loving and enduring friendships.

The International Day of Peace was established by the UN General Assembly in 1981 for 'commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace within and among all nations and people.' Twenty years later, the General Assembly decided that 21 September would be observed annually as a 'day of global ceasefire and non-violence' and invited all Member States, organizations and individuals to commemorate the day, including through education and public awareness, and to cooperate with the United Nations in the establishment of a global ceasefire.

What will you do today to bring peace into our world?

Special Offer: Send a self-addressed stamped business-size envelope to this address: Susan Faye Peace Print, P.O. Box 145, Willamina, OR 97396 and receive a mini print (4" x 6") of the poster pictured above, suitable for framing!

A Proverb for the Ages

(theme:"proverb")

Here is a little proverb that I made up. I believe it to be very good advice for cats and cat lovers of all ages. It is wisdom gleaned from years of indulging my inner child who obviously never outgrew her love of the deluxe box of 64 Crayolas, the one with the built-in sharpener and colors like cornflower and copper. Oh how I loved that copper crayon!

What was or is your favorite Crayola color?
