Cat Lady No. 55...Today is Spay Day USA

Cat Lady Tasha is enjoying a group hug with new Cat Mom Gypsy and her three precious kittens, all rescued from a local shelter!

Tasha knows how important it is to have Gypsy and her kittens spayed and neutered as soon as it is possible, thanks to information she learned from the Humane Society's Spay Day USA website.

Four million cats and dogs—about one every eight seconds—are put down in U.S. shelters each year. Spay/neuter is the only permanent, 100-percent effective method of birth control for dogs and cats and a proven way to reduce the vast numbers of animals who are born only to die prematurely and without a family who loves them. Learn more about why you should spay or neuter your pet.

Tasha intends to enter a photo of her new furry family in the Spay Day Pet Photo Contest.

One year ago I was 'adopted' by a sweet calico adult cat. She is a talker and is named Susu. Of course I had her spayed thinking that she may already be pregnant..She wasn't. Dee.
