Cat Lady Raylene and Feline Friend Armani are saying goodbye to the front lawn this weekend. Inspired by articles such as the recent one on the Nature Concervancy's conservation blog Cool Green Science, Raylene is going to replace that green stuff with more earth-friendly landscaping that won't require toxic sprays, chemical fertilizers, excessive water, or gas-powered lawnmowers. Raylene is choosing native and drought-tolerant plants with attractive mulch to keep down the need for watering.
Oh, and a few catnip plants too, at Armani's insistence...
