Cat Lady Coretta and faithful companion Cyrano always look forward to the arrival of the Bookmobile each Thursday morning. Considering that the nearest library is 45 miles away, it's a wonderful service indeed to have books delivered to their tiny community.The same song always comes to mind when Coretta begins anticipating the arrival of the Bookmobile. Here is how it goes:

It's the song "Wells Fargo Wagon" from THE MUSIC MAN. Sometimes Coretta hums it and sometimes she sings it out loud to Cyrano's delight. And to Coretta's delight, she recently learned that there's a term for a song or melody that plays over and over in your mind: earworm. There are lots of other names too: sticky tune, cognitive itch, involuntary musical imagery.
Cyrano has an earworm too...Sometimes he just can't get the song "Three Blind Mice" out of his head, ususally just before suppertime...
