"Crazy Cat Lady" has so many kittens because many people don't understand the importance of spaying/neutering. When they get unwanted litters, they know she can't turn them away. Can't decide on a hair color because new cats show up, she looks at their colors, finds one that might look better.

What Susan said is what I was thinking. :)

Well me leaning that she is a modern woman.. contemporary.. and that it likes to be always in the fashion.. then she changes the color of her hair according to the seasons.. or of her humor!!!.. and logical: as every intelligent and sensitive woman.. she could not stop having many kittens!!!

They're actually pictures of cat-lady quintuplets, four of whom dye their hair to differentiate themselves. But because they're quints, they can't resist imitating each another in other ways, so when one adopts a cat, the others adopt an identical one. Hey, maybe the cats are quints, too! :)

I believe our cat lady is Cat Fancier... Her beautiful tuxedo queen has given her that lovely litter of kittens... She wants to show them at the next Cat Fancier's Association show. Depending on which kitten she shows she changes her own hair color to coordinate with the kitten.

The kittens come from the kitten fairy.... who visited me quite often over the years.

She changes her hair color because the cats have so many colors and they want to feel special. So she changes her color every day to match one or more of the cats, making them Mama's special cat(s) of the day.

Why she has So Many Kitties is NONE of OUR BUSINESS!! :) Neither is why she has so many hair colors, but i like to think she is just Very Creative, and Hey, 'Life's Short, Dye your Hair', thats MY motto!

She is the "Crazy Cat Lady" inside all of us. Since we don't all have the same hair, so there are many representations of us.

As CCL's, we spend large amounts of hours at the shelter. The CCL inside of us would not leave a pregnant beauty deliver at the shelter, so we brought her home.

Now we all have homes full of life and color!

My entry:

"When you own a few cats, kittens are inevitable and there are always plenty of them." she said.

"I love everyone of them, but this is the last time we'll be having kittens. My LMF (Little Miss Fluffy) and PURRRcy and Betty Boots are going in to the vet today to be fixed."

"Don't misunderstand me" she requests. "I love each little furball and there's nothing sweeter than a brood of kittens piled one on another in a comunal nap, but there's just not enough good homes out there for all these cuties. I've given them as gifts to friends, gone door to door asking my neighbors and even resorted to dying my hair different colors each week and go out sitting with a box of kittens for sale. But they are on to me and don't fall for my disguises and requests for homes for these cuties"

---------------------------------
My comment:
I <3 Kittens! But please spay and neuter your cats. Overpopulation is a problem and finding good safe homes for all the little kitties is difficult. :0)

She's holding so many kitties because there are so many of them in shelters looking for their forever homes and she wants to show us some of them.

She keeps changing her hair color because it's fun to try new looks!

There once was a Puss named MacJory. Once traveled the world in fine glory. The ladies he met. Always gave him fine chat. And a 'meow' friend that subsequently begat. His finer features for a cat. But lo' and behold Puss McJory grew old. And found his last home with a Crazy Lady named Laury..

"Crazy Cat Lady" is a self portrait of ME! My many hair colors because it's something that can be changed at my whim and with whimsy! It's one of the few things I can modify easily, despite my weight, age, and significant other. Why so many kitties? It has been a "growth" experience for me. I am absolutely held captive by the cuteness of my kitties. They are my heart and teachers.
PS I've been known to color my hair to match my cats!

She who humans know as the "Crazy Cat Lady" is the Fairy who waits before the entrance to the Rainbow Bridge, catching all the wee kittens who are headed there before their time. She cares for them and loves them throughout their nine lives, until finally as wise old grey-whiskered cats, they decide to go to the Bridge to receive the gift of eternal kittenhood. The Cat Fairy is as timeless as an oak, and her colors change with the seasons and the years, just as the leaves of the oak. . .

I love your art! I think you should do a calendar full of your Cat Ladies and their felines. I can see it in print now!

She is the woman who always said she didn't want to be "The crazy cat lady" until her heart was captured by a cute little fur ball that decided to own her. From that point on she has been adopted by many wise and wonderful felines.

The woman may want to color-coordinate her hair with her cats' fur.
