Birdwatching!
Laura puts what she calls "bird bait" in the feeders outside, and then once back inside, the three of them watch through the big picture window that looks out onto the back yard garden.
Today they saw goldfinches, purple finches, a red-winged blackbird, Stellers jays, chickadees, and a song sparrow! Griswold and Griselda get particularly quiet and twitchy when they spot their favorite, a rufous-sided towhee.
